It is great to have talent and skill, but the most important thing a customer looks for and what will leave a lasting impression is letting them know that we care about them. We are customers too and want the representatives that we interact with to hear us and understand our situation so that our issue can be resolved quickly. We expect all our customer service specialists to be the same with our customers. When you can relate to what a customer goes through, they are more receptive to you and you feel more empowered to help resolve their concerns.
